The Alexander Rose range of Roble Garden Furniture is manufactured in their own factory in Bolivia and is made using only 100% Forestery Stewardship Council registered pure timber.
FSC Roble is a sustainable, superior hardwood, grown in Eastern Bolivia and with over five million acres of FSC certified forest under management, Bolivia is the world's leader in sustainable management of natural tropical forest. Within the Chiquitania Forest Reserve Alexander Rose's Roble supplies come from their parent company's estate of two million acres.
Due to the prevailing climate of the tropical dry forest, the trees grow very slowly so, consequently, some of the world's strongest and most durable woods come from the Chiquitania Forest. These include Roble which is incredibly strong and dense, with a very high durability. It is a light coloured wood when new, until the sun gracefully transforms it to a mature, elegant silver patina.
Wooden furniture can be treated with care products to give a beautiful rich finish and enhance the look of the wood or, alternatively, it can be left to turn a mellow silver grey, and should be cleaned occasionally with soapy water.
